Iqbal wrote the two poems, “Shikwa” and “Jawab-i Shikwa” (Complaint to God and its Response), in early twentieth century. It was the prime time of his poetic revelation, which is called his third period that began in 1908 and ended at his death in 1938. During that time Muslims in India had almost lost their entity as a nation. They had become the most oppressed community in British ruled India.

Iqbal’s poem “Shikwa” was one of his most thrilling poems, which he recited personally in the month of April 1911 at the annual session of Anjuman Himayat-i Islam held in the compound of Islamia College, Lahore. It was largely applauded and subsequently published in the magazines and journals of the country. This poem consists of 31 stanzas having six verses each. In the poem Iqbal has highlighted Islam’s living traditions in such a way that it strikes the very heart of a person. The carefully selected and well-knit words of the poem were immensely effective. They filled the hearts of a deprived nation with new life, courage and enthusiasm. The poem “Shikwa” is a unique example of a complaint to God.

If these stupid Taliban think, they are on right path, and then they should come face to face to fight with us, instead of attacking from behind.

We will not let you use the name of Allah and Islam for satanic sacrifices.

MQM – Altaf Hussain’s Offer

 

Altaf Husain claims, if his party MQM is given a chance, they can end this terrorism in a matter of few hours (based on news on Jang dated 08-Dec-2009).

Sounds good to me, I believe we should give it a try, because Altaf Bhai might have some secrets to end this bloody acts of terrorism and kill all of these bastard al-Qaida and Taliban mercenaries. Even though I don’t trust our current government, but still think they should complete their tenure.

In the meantime, if they need some help, Zardari should give Altaf Bhai’s offer a try and let MQM to govern Pakistan for not few hours but for whole month. If Zardari agrees on this kind of arrangement then Altfa Bhai has to come to Pakistan to lead us. I hope he won’t mind coming back to homeland and lead us. Anyway, he should not be afraid of anything, because he has not done any wrong doings and people of Pakistan support him and love him.

I beg to the government of Pakistan and other political parties to consider Altaf Bhai’s offer and let him end this satanic act of terrorism in one month. If he succeeds then he deserves the remainder of this tenure to govern the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

At the end, Altaf Bhai, get ready to come to Pakistan, book your flight at the earliest possible date, we know, you can do it. (Maut ka aik din muqarrar hai, phir London main jala watni katnay ka kiya maqsad hai). Please don’t let us down and come back to your beloved country.

The reason I’m posting these is very simple, we as nation and ummah are fast asleep, and blindly following the west. We have forgotten the purpose of life, and good deeds. The satanic trap is so strong and huge that we are becoming part of it, because we don’t want to get knowledge and share it.

Please wake up… I am afraid its going to be a last wake up call.
