Better Nutrition

WFP works hard to improve the nutritional content of the food we deliver, often working with private-sector partners to create tailored products. The latest addition to our nutritional toolbox is Wawamum, a vitamin-rich chickpea paste produced in Pakistan to combat child malnutrition.

Wider Range of Tools

WFP is expanding its food assistance toolbox with new options for feeding the hungry. In 2011 WFP is ramping up the number of programmes that  give hungry people cash or  e-vouchers with which they can buy the food they need themselves, thus supporting local food production.
